Job summary

Inter-American Development Bank invites active graduate students to join the 2027 Winter Internship Program as Intern Consultant at our Washington, DC headquarters. This paid internship offers on-the-job learning and exposure to development work and corporate management of the Bank.

You will join the EVP Office, work on data analytics, project design quality control, operations guidance, and prepare briefs and presentations.

Qualifications

Education: active graduate student in relevant fields; expected graduation after internship.
Languages: English fluency; knowledge of another Bank language is a plus.
Key skills: analytical thinking, collaboration, client focus, communication and initiative.
Soft skills: proactive, collaborative, innovative, time management, strong writing.
Technical: statistics/econometrics, data analytics tools (Python, R, Power BI), SQL.

Responsibilities

Analyze IDB project pipeline data, identify patterns and bottlenecks.
Assist in design quality control of loans, guarantees, and technical cooperation.
Provide guidance on policy compliance and operational processes.
Prepare briefs, presentations, and knowledge materials for EVP Office.
Conduct special projects and contribute to cross‑functional teams.
