The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) invites active graduate students to join its Winter Internship Program in Washington, DC, as an Intern Consultant for two months (January 16–March 15, 2027). You will support credit risk analysis, macro data gathering, and the development of dashboards using Excel and Power BI in a hands-on setting.

This paid internship requires enrollment in a graduate program (economics, finance, engineering or business) and demonstrates strong analytical skills,

Qualifications

  • Active graduate student in Economics, Finance, Engineering or Business
  • Enrollment as of internship start date and graduation after internship period
  • Must be eligible to work full-time in the U.S. for the internship period

Responsibilities

  • Support credit risk assessments of treasury issuers with financial analysis and research
  • Research issuers, jurisdictions, markets, and regulatory developments for risk assessments
  • Prepare concise credit reports, memoranda and presentation materials
  • Source and analyze financial, market, and economic data used in credit assessments
  • Assist in enhancing analytics tools, dashboards, and data processes using Excel, Power BI, Power Apps, and internal platforms
