Job summary

LHH is seeking a Data Manager for a nonprofit organization in California. The role oversees data across the full lifecycle, focusing on integrity, privacy, and reporting to support service delivery and funder requirements.

You will work with program leadership and the COO to shift from traditional tracking to outcome-driven evaluation, build user-friendly platforms, train staff, and ensure secure data handling across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 3+ years in data management, reporting, analytics, or related fields.
• Experience with databases, CRMs, donor databases, or case management systems.
• Ability to produce reports and dashboards from multiple systems.
• Strong data privacy and security practices.
• Experience training non-technical staff across locations.
• Ability to travel up to 20% in the San Diego area.

Responsibilities

• Direct the administration and improvement of online data platforms to support workflows.
• Partner with leadership to design evaluative frameworks for long-term program efficacy.
• Maintain data privacy, security, and reporting compliance.
• Bridge technical systems and program staff to enable data-driven decisions.
• Transform datasets into actionable reports for philanthropy, outreach, and growth.
• Lead data collection efforts focused on outcomes.
• Develop protocols to capture data beyond standard software constraints.
• Lead training so staff are proficient in platforms and secure handling.
• Provide ongoing technical support for platform use.
• Develop and improve data management processes to enhance integrity and reporting; identify donor trends.
• This role will have no direct reports.
