Downtown Atlanta, Inc. (Downtown) is seeking a dynamic Manager, Research, Data, and Impact to advance the organization’s mission.

The role leads research, data analysis, market intelligence and impact measurement to support planning, economic development, placemaking, and investments in Downtown Atlanta. The candidate will translate complex data into actionable insights, develop maps and visualizations, and present findings to stakeholders while collaborating with leadership to move research

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning, data analytics, public administration, statistics, economic development, or related field.
• Approximately 5+ years of related professional experience in research, planning, economic development, data analytics, public policy, real estate, or similar.
• Ability to collect, manage, analyze and interpret complex data (quantitative & qualitative).
• Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, including creating and managing geographic datasets and producing professional maps.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboard tools (ESRI Dashboards, Infogram, Tableau).
• Strong project management, prioritization and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead research, data management and analysis of economic, demographic, geographic, real estate and market data.
• Monitor downtown indicators and market conditions; manage data providers and consultants.
• Produce high-quality maps and develop dashboards and visualizations for decision-makers.
• Develop data-driven narratives to support investment strategies and external engagement.
• Collaborate with departments to translate research into actionable recommendations.
• Support planning initiatives from research through stakeholder engagement and implementation.
