New America’s entertainment initiative seeks a Senior Communications Associate in Los Angeles (or New York) to expand capacity across design, video, writing, and social media. You will translate audience research into visuals, craft engaging content, and support publications and outreach.

The role emphasizes versatile communication,Design best practices, and collaboration with creatives and executives in the media-for-social-impact space. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in communications and/or design.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and video editing tools.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Experience planning social media content and creating engaging visuals.

Responsibilities

• Create static infographics and data visualizations for audience research.
• Design social graphics, newsletters, and print materials using brand guidelines.
• Publish blog posts on the New America website and coordinate with Central Comms.
• Capture photos/videos at events and edit short social videos.
• Plan, caption, and publish content on Instagram and other platforms.
