Job summary

The City of Topeka’s Housing Services division seeks a Program Coordinator for the Impact Avenues program. This fast-paced role provides full-cycle case management and support for McKinney-Vento program clients and crisis intervention for Equipping Center referrals.

Ideal candidates have case management experience, strong communication and coalition-building skills, and a passion for community engagement. A valid Kansas driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or human services with 1–3 years of case management experience.
• Without a bachelor’s degree, a high school diploma with 3+ years of case management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-cycle monthly case management services for Impact Avenues clients (twelve months per family, ~40 cases).
• Educate families on employment skills, budgeting, finance and housing navigation.
• Collaborate with 40+ partner agencies through weekly resource events.
• Advocate as a backbone organization to deliver crisis intervention and wrap-around services for housing stability.
