Job summary

Prellis Biologics is seeking an enthusiastic immunologist to advance our cutting-edge platform. You will collaborate with biology and pharmacology teams to generate high-quality data supporting discovery efforts and develop functional assays for immune cell systems.

You will spend most of your time in the lab working on in vitro and ex vivo models, applying flow cytometry, ELISA, and signaling readouts. This role offers a hybrid work setup in Berkeley with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc with relevant industry/postdoc experience required.
• Extensive immunology lab experience including flow cytometry and panel design.
• Proficient in cell culture of primary and immortal cell lines.
• Experience with ELISA/MSD, cytokine panels, and signaling assays.
• Expertise in experimental design, data analysis, and interpreting complex immunological data.
• Proficiency in primary cell isolation and culture, and in vitro assay development.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanism of action studies to elucidate target biology across in vitro and ex vivo models.
• Establish and employ novel techniques to characterize immune cell responses.
• Contribute to development of ex vivo immune processes using immunology, cell biology and molecular biology.
• Perform in vitro and ex vivo cell culture.
• Analyze and present data from reporter-based assays, immune activation, apoptosis, and migration assays.
• Be hands-on in the lab (60–80% of the time) and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with teammates across a matrixed organization.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to protocols and lab best practices.
