Job summary

Prellis Biologics, Inc. is seeking a Scientist – Cell Biology & Immunology to develop and optimize in vitro immune system platforms, including lymph node organoid-based technologies, for antibody discovery.

You will design and execute complex cell-based experiments, work with primary human immune cells, and contribute to assay development and data analysis in a fast-paced startup setting in Berkeley, CA.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or related field.
• 5+ years lab experience; industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of adaptive immunity, esp. B-cell biology.
• Experience with primary immune-cell isolation, culture, and stimulation.
• Proficient in flow cytometry, panel design, staining, and analysis.
• Experience with ELISA and protein analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, optimize complex cell-based experiments.
• Develop in vitro immune-cell culture and stimulation strategies.
• Work hands-on in the lab ~60–80% of time.
• Troubleshoot experiments and improve protocols.
• Isolate and characterize primary human immune cells.
• Develop flow cytometry panels and perform sorting.
• Develop functional antibody/TCR assays.
• Analyze data and present results at reviews.
