Job summary

Fortvita Biologics in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking an Immunology Research Scientist to join our Palo Alto team. This role supports discovery and development of novel therapeutics for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, with emphasis on establishing and executing in vitro and ex vivo immunological assays to validate targets and elucidate mechanisms.

The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in Immunology (or related field), has hands-on cellular immunology and flow cytometry expertise, and

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in in vitro cellular assays and immune-cell-based functional assays.
• Strong multicolor flow cytometry expertise, panel design and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced research environment and manage multiple projects.
• Experience with organoid culture is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and execute in vitro and ex vivo immune assays.
• Analyze data, maintain records, and present findings to teams.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary project teams and manage experiments.
• Propose and implement new assay platforms and technologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
