National Jewish Health in Denver is seeking an entry-level Laboratory Scientist to perform analyses in the clinical laboratory under supervision. You will run high-complexity tests, document QC activities, and ensure accurate results for patients.

You will follow SOPs, maintain equipment, participate in proficiency testing, and contribute to a collaborative team focused on biosafety and quality. The role supports patient care through precise laboratory work.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors of Science in biology, chemistry or a related scientific field required.
• Work Experience: Previous laboratory experience preferred.
• Special Training, Certification or Licensure: None

Responsibilities

• Performs high complexity tests that are authorized by the laboratory leadership and documents QC activities.
• Troubleshoots assay problems or instrument malfunctions and performs maintenance as directed.
• Follows SOPs, policies and biosafety standards; signs SOPs annually; completes NetLearning in a timely manner.
• Performs data entry and compiles data packets; documents corrective actions for deviations.
• Participates in proficiency testing and adheres to GxP standards as defined by regulatory bodies.
