Job summary

National Jewish Health is seeking a Senior Laboratory Scientist to join the Complement Laboratory. You will perform high-complexity testing, troubleshoot assays, and serve as a technical resource within a collaborative team dedicated to quality and scientific excellence.

The role involves ensuring accurate results to support diagnosis, treatment, and research initiatives. Responsibilities include data analysis, SOP involvement, QC, and training of staff, while maintaining equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related scientific field required.
• 3 years of CAP/CLIA laboratory work experience required.
• Special Training or Licensure: None

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee high-complexity laboratory testing per CAP/CLIA standards.
• Troubleshoot assay/instrument issues and support QC/proficiency testing.
• Review, analyze, and document data for accurate patient reporting.
• Provide training, competency support, and operational guidance to staff.
• Participate in SOP reviews, quality improvements, and inspections readiness.
• Maintain supplies, reagents, and equipment for efficient operations.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve processes and solve technical challenges.
