Job summary

MSD Malaysia seeks an experienced immunologist/scientist to join our global competitive intelligence team. You will deliver scientific, clinical, and commercial insights on IBD landscapes and support portfolio decisions.

Responsibilities include shaping internal research programs, BD&L assessments, and monitoring competitors while partnering with discovery and clinical teams. Hybrid work is offered from Rahway, NJ / Upper Gwynedd, PA. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field (PhD/MD/MS/MBA or equivalent).
• 8+ years in biotech/pharma with 3-5+ years in IBD/immune-mediated diseases/immuno-oncology.
• Strong understanding of immunology and GI diseases, incl. Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s disease.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert scientific, clinical, and commercial insights on IBD competitive landscapes.
• Shape internal research programs and BD&L opportunity assessments.
• Monitor evolving IBD therapies and competitor activities with strategic analyses.
• Lead deep-dive analyses of competitors’ Go-To-Market and benchmarking.
• Build global SME networks to support strategic initiatives.
• Support competitive planning for products facing major competitive events.
