Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Research & Development LLC, a Johnson & Johnson company, seeks a Principal Scientist in DDSAI for Immunology to lead data science strategy and AI-enabled initiatives. You will partner with DDSAI and Immunology teams to translate scientific needs into practical data solutions.

You will help shape data-driven decision making across Translational Science, Translational Medicine, Discovery, and Late Development, collaborating with platform and engineering teams

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, math, or related field, 4+ years experience.
• 4+ years in pharma R&D or healthcare data science.
• Ability to work cross-functional in matrixed environments.
• Experience applying AI to data science and analytics.
• Familiarity with health datasets and real-world data.

Responsibilities

• Contribute scientific and strategic input to immunology DDSAI priorities.
• Define and execute high-impact data science, digital health, AI, and analytics initiatives.
• Collaborate to design data science use cases and roadmaps from pilot to scale.
• Understand imaging, digital health, clinical, and real-world data assets.
• Map workflows to identify automation opportunities and future-state solutions.
• Partner with platform and engineering teams to build scalable data and AI capabilities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies including generative AI and agentic systems.
• Support portfolio intelligence and decision-making across DDSAI objectives.
