Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Principal Scientist, Data Science – AI & Generative AI Systems – to design, build, and deploy AI solutions that accelerate therapeutic development and supply workflows.

This hands-on contributor works with Product Development, Manufacturing, Clinical Supply Chain, and Quality to deliver LLM applications, agentic workflows, and AI-driven automation in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Life Sciences, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on AI/NLP/Generative AI experience, including LLMs.
• Experience in Pharmaceutical Product Development, including CMC.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy AI solutions for documentation, knowledge retrieval, evidence synthesis, and decision support in the TDS ecosystem.
• Build agentic AI workflows coordinating models, tools, data, and human review across multi-step scientific and supply chain processes.
• Collaborate with regulatory, quality, CMC, scientific, and technical stakeholders to validate outputs and drive adoption.
