Job summary

Pfizer’s Immunology group is seeking an Associate Scientist in the CMI team to generate high-quality cellular immunology data for clinical vaccine programs. You will execute clinical assays, primarily flow cytometry, and may support ELISPOT and ADCC, while driving 5S, automation, and process optimization in lab workflows.

You will work in a collaborative environment within the CMI group to advance vaccine development, ensuring strict adherence to GxP and SOPs and presenting results to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline and 0+ to 2 years of experience.
• Hands-on laboratory experience in immunology or a related field
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
• Scientific curiosity and willingness to learn and expand technical expertise
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to support problem solving
• Interest in responsible AI practices including risk management and ethics

Responsibilities

• Perform high-throughput flow cytometry assays to characterize cellular immune responses
• Support additional cellular immunoassays such as ELISPOT and ADCC as needed
• Maintain compliance with GxP and internal SOPs for all laboratory activities
• Support the qualification of new assays and ensure accurate documentation of experimental work
• Drive improvements (5S, automation, process optimization) to improve testing workflows
• Uphold quality and compliance across CMI with proper documentation and data integrity
• Prepare reagents, manage inventory, and handle sample workflows efficiently
• Analyze and interpret assay results and present findings to team and leadership
• Collaborate within CMI and cross-functionally to support vaccine development programs
