Job summary
Precision Medicine Group, LLC. is seeking an Associate Scientist in Frederick, MD to perform flow cytometry and related immune assays. You will execute experiments, analyze data, and help improve SOPs while mentoring junior staff in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities include preparing validation protocols, presenting data, and contributing to contract/grant proposals. A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with lab experience is required, with a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or related field with 2+ years’ relevant lab experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or related field with 8+ years’ relevant lab experience
- Experience with flow cytometry assays using both whole blood or isolated cells
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required
- Strong computational skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad Prism, Diva, and FlowJo
Responsibilities
- Perform Flow cytometry primarily, as well as other immune assays
- Conduct experiments, independently and analyze data
- Assist in SOP development and documentation
- Identify and implement emerging laboratory techniques
- Maintain safe lab practices and environment
- Present completed work at meetings/publications
- Assist with writing contracts and grant applications as appropriate
