Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. is seeking a Research Associate II for the Vaccine, Immunity and Cancer Directorate at Frederick National Laboratory.

The role focuses on developing validated immunoassays for clinical studies, using tissue culture, flow cytometry, ELISA, PCR, and LIMS to manage samples and data. The candidate should have a strong background in immunology and virology, with 5+ years in a biomedical lab, and must be able to work onsite with good communication and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in immunology, vaccinology or molecular biology or 4 years relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years progressively responsible experience in a related biomedical laboratory.
• Detailed knowledge of vaccines, immunology, and virology.
• Experience with tissue culture, immunological/virological techniques including aseptic methods.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform tissue culture and immunological/virological techniques, including aseptic techniques, cell line maintenance.
• Develop and qualify/validate T cell assays by multi-color flow cytometry.
• Perform serology projects from conception to execution.
• Responsible for sample management and inventory using LIMS.
• Prepare reports and participate in report and proposal preparation.
• SOP development/review and master control validations as required.
