Job summary

Genentech is seeking a Scientist 3 within the CTG to advance target discovery through state-of-the-art genomics, functional readouts, and molecular engineering in immune-mediated diseases.

The role combines technology development with disease biology, requiring collaboration across immunology, genomics, and computational biology. A strong publication and/or patent record is valued, and relocation benefits are available.

Qualifications

  • PhD in molecular biology, genetics, immunology, or related field.
  • Experience with immunology and primary immune cell culture; in vivo experience is a plus.
  • Experience deploying molecular engineering tools at scale in primary immune cells or iPSCs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy molecular engineering technologies and read-outs.
  • Interrogate immunological disease mechanisms at scale to identify targets and cell therapy strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across immunology, genomics, computational biology, and AI/ML.
