Job summary

The Division of Public and Behavioral Health, Immunization unit in Carson City, NV, seeks a Health Program Specialist 2 to lead statewide immunization QA and provider education. You will manage VFC and IQIP projects, conduct site visits, trainings, and education sessions, and oversee unit operations including grant reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring performance standards, and providing expert immunization guidance to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public health, health science, social or behavioral science or closely related field and three years of professional health‑related experience including data analysis, objective setting, and program evaluation.
Associate's degree and four years of professional health‑related experience as described.
High school or equivalent with five years of professional experience as described.
One year of experience as Health Program Specialist I in Nevada State service or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Lead statewide immunization quality assurance and provider education projects (VFC and IQIP).
Ensure required site visits and trainings and deliver provider education and presentations.
Oversee VFC Unit with program planning, grants reporting, and compliance with federal standards.
Engage stakeholders and act as clinical SME for immunization inquiries.
Supervise staff, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to mandates and training requirements.
