Job summary

The Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC) is hiring a full-time Staff Attorney based in San Francisco with consideration for Southern California. This exempt role reports to a Senior Managing Attorney and supports a hybrid schedule with two in-office days weekly.

The Staff Attorney will focus on immigration enforcement work at the state and local level in California, contributing to policy advocacy, trainings, and written resources.

Qualifications

• Three to seven years of attorney experience in immigration law.
• Bar membership in good standing.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel within California and the United States.
• Strong legal analysis and advocacy abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent ILRC in local and statewide enforcement coalitions.
• Support California decarceration and policy campaigns.
• Provide strategy, technical assistance, and legislative drafting/testimony as needed.
• Produce written resources and trainings on immigration enforcement topics.
• Travel for trainings, meetings, and events across California and beyond.
