Job summary

Immigrant Legal Resource Center seeks two full-time Criminal/Immigration Senior Staff or Managing Attorneys based in San Francisco, CA, with remote work options from Southern California or Central Valley. Positions are exempt and report to a Directing Attorney or Senior Managing Attorney.

Hybrid model requires two in-office days weekly for SF-based staff; others may travel to SF for key events. Responsibilities include guiding crim/imm team, providing technical support, drafting advisories,

Qualifications

Experience defending noncitizens in crim/imm matters.
Excellent writing, editing, and advocacy skills.
Ability to train/educate diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to public defenders and immigration lawyers on crim/imm issues.
Analyze state/federal crim/imm cases and policy developments.
Draft practice advisories and update criminal/imm resources.
Lead webinars and in-person trainings on crim/imm topics.
Collaborate to maintain California Quick Reference Chart and ILRC manuals.
Serve as Senior Expert on crim/imm and respond to practitioner questions.
Travel within California and nationally for trainings and events.
Support litigation and amicus work as needed.
