Job summary

Church World Service is seeking a Paralegal to support the Immigration Legal Services Program, assisting DOJ Accredited Representatives with eligibility screenings, application completion, and follow-up for refugees, asylees, LPRs, and other immigrants.

Responsibilities include client intake, data entry in case management software, document preparation, and ongoing file maintenance. Haitian Creole language is strongly preferred to serve diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of paralegal or internship experience in a law office or non-profit setting.
• Haitian Creole language fluency strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and assist in preparing applications for immigration benefits.
• Provide administrative support including answering calls, scheduling, data entry, and photocopying documents.
• Maintain accuracy in client case files and update case status regularly in the management system.
• Assist in compiling client packets and tracking program results for funders.
