Job summary

UFW Foundation is hiring a Supervising Attorney, Immigration to lead a regional team of attorneys, accredited representatives, and staff in California with optional remote work across the U.S. The role oversees casework in naturalization, DACA, family petitions, and removal defense, and guides outreach and Know Your Rights programs.

Qualifications include 3+ years in immigration law, active bar status, and at least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience practicing immigration law, including direct representation before USCIS, EOIR, or California state courts.
• Licensed attorney in good standing in any U.S. state, or a J.D. with bar results pending (California bar preferred, not required).
• Minimum 1 year of experience supervising, mentoring, or formally training attorneys, accredited representatives, or legal staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a regional team of attorneys, DOJ-accredited representatives, legal assistants, and fellows.
• Distribute and monitor caseload across the team, maintaining quality and compliance.
• Lead Know Your Rights presentations and community outreach as part of campus and community lawyering work.
• Manage an active caseload across affirmative relief and removal defense, including naturalization, DACA, family petitions, asylum, and removal defense.
• Represent adults, families, and children before USCIS, EOIR, and state/federal courts.
