Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks an Immigration Attorney in West Covina, CA. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with strong client advocacy, capable of handling a caseload and mentoring junior staff. Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred but not required.

Applicants with a JD and active law license, plus 3+ years in immigration law, are encouraged to apply. Newly barred attorneys with high potential are welcome to apply. In-person hearings and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar license.
• California bar membership preferred; willing to appear in Immigration Court.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload while supervising paralegals and staff.
• Draft motions, appeals, waivers, briefs and other filings.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Duties

• Represent clients before the EOIR Immigration Court, the Asylum Office, and USCIS.
• Manage a caseload effectively while supervising paralegals and legal assistants.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, appeals, waivers, briefs, and other filings.
• Perform any other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law with eligibility to appear in Immigration Court (California Bar membership preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in immigration law preferred.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple cases under tight deadlines.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and the ability to drive for in-person hearings and interviews as needed.
• Newly barred attorneys with strong potential are encouraged to apply.

Education
