Job summary

LHH in New York is seeking an immigration associate for a boutique NYC firm. This role targets attorneys with 3+ years of experience handling complex immigration litigation, including removal and asylum matters, and family-based issues.

You will own a substantive caseload, draft extensively, and work with a lean team alongside partners celebrated in the field. The position emphasizes in-office collaboration, strong drafting skills, and an entrepreneurial drive to support business development

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience handling complex immigration litigation.
• Ownership over caseload with the ability to manage multiple matters.
• Experience with removal proceedings, asylum, and family-based immigration matters.
• Strong drafting experience and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a substantive caseload and handle complex immigration matters.

• Appear in office as required; typical day runs 9–5 with focus on work-life balance.

The New York team is working on a search for an immigration associate for a new client, a well-respected boutique immigration firm in NYC. The role is ideal for an attorney with at least 3+ years of experience handling complex immigration litigation

• This role is ideal for an immigration attorney who wants substantive ownership over their caseload, with the desire and interest in complex matters such as removal proceedings, asylum proceedings, and other complicated family based matters
• Work collegially and collaboratively with a leanly staffed team, giving direct contact to partners recognized in the field for their work
• Attorney should have strong drafting experience, confidence in managing multiple cases, and a desire to make an impact for a diverse client base
• Excellent role for an attorney with an entrepreneurial drive as this firm as they promote business development
• Must be willing to appear in office (with the exception of days in court)
• Ideal for someone who wants work-life balance as you can expect a typical "9-5" schedule
