Job Overview

A law firm seeks a full-time Associate Attorney in Bay Shore, New York. The role involves assisting with litigation, client preparation, research, and document generation. Spanish or secondary language abilities are a plus. Applicants sitting for the upcoming bar examination will also be considered.

Duties
  • Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and appeals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings before the immigration court and family court.
  • Represent clients before USCIS for family-based petitions, adjustment of status, asylum cases, and naturalization interviews.
  • Advise clients on legal rights and obligations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and contribute to case strategy development.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation for all client matters.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation and legal trends that may impact clients' interests.
