Job summary

Park Avenue Group, a division of Angott Search Group, is partnering with a growing law firm to add a motivated Immigration Attorney. This role focuses on representing clients before USCIS and immigration courts, developing case strategy, and building a career in immigration law.

The ideal candidate has a J.D., an active U.S. license (Florida Bar preferred), and a strong background in immigration litigation, research, and writing, with excellent client service and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in any U.S. state; Florida Bar membership preferred.
• Immigration law experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with USCIS and/or EOIR preferred.
• Strong interest in immigration litigation and courtroom advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients before USCIS, EOIR, ICE, and other government agencies.
• Manage and litigate a diverse caseload, including removal defense, asylum, family-based petitions, waivers, and employment-based immigration matters.
• Prepare for and attend immigration court hearings, bond hearings, USCIS interviews, and other proceedings.
• Develop case strategies and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other legal filings.
• Prepare clients for interviews, hearings, and court appearances.
• Review and approve filings prepared by paralegals and case managers.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding legal guidance, case strategy, and updates.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure filings are accurate and timely.
• Maintain organized case files and detailed case notes.
• Stay current on changes in immigration laws, regulations, and policies.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to provide high-quality client representation.
