Celedon Law in Marlborough, MA seeks a full-time Immigration Attorney to join our team. The attorney will provide direct representation before Immigration Court, BIA, and USCIS and travel to Boston/Hartford courts as needed.

Ideal candidates have a JD from an accredited law school and are passionate about immigration law, with strong research, writing, and communication skills. Prior immigration experience is welcomed but not required; bilingual Spanish/Portuguese preferred.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Experience in immigration law preferred but not required; willing to train recent graduates
• Experience in removal defense, employment-based visas, and family-based immigration a plus
• Strong legal research and writing skills; EOIR motions/memoranda drafting a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to meet multiple deadlines
• Comfortable learning and using digital client management systems
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Willingness to travel to Boston and Hartford Immigration Courts and other MA courthouses
• Bilingual in Portuguese or Spanish strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct legal representation before Immigration Court, BIA, USCIS and MA state/federal courts
• Prepare and file court pleadings, applications and supporting docs
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
• Interview clients, assess cases and maintain client communication
• Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals on case prep and management

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Experience in immigration law preferred, but not required - we welcome recent graduates and junior attorneys eager to build a practice in:
• Removal Defense
• Employment-based visas
• Family-based immigration
• Strong legal research and writing skills; experience drafting motions and memoranda for EOIR is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Comfortable learning and working in digital client management systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel to Boston and Hartford Immigration Courts, as well as other Massachusetts courthouses
