Position Summary

We are seeking an Associate Attorney who will become of our high-performing team that delivers on the mission and vision articulated above. In this role you will conduct research, develop cases, prepare clients, supervise the work of paralegals, and attend hearings at the Immigration Court and conduct interviews at the USCIS office. The position will report to the Managing Attorney and is based at our office in downtown Orlando.

Job Responsibilities

- Conduct initial consultations and client meetings.

- Develop the case, working with paralegals and clients to ensure proper evidence is obtained.

- Perform necessary legal research to assist with briefs, request for evidence and attorney memos.

- Supervise paralegals’ case load and deadlines.

- Prepare clients before interviews and court hearings.

- Attend hearings at the Immigration Court and interviews at the USCIS office.

- Provide content for informational blogs and other internal and external-facing web content.

- Maintain files by ensuring notes are kept in management software up to date.

- Create newsletter and track offices successes.

- Various other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Experiences, Requirements

- Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution and admitted to the Florida Bar

- 2 years or more work experience with immigration law

- Written and spoken fluency in English at least one other relevant foreign language

- Consistently demonstrates an ‘of service’ mentality

- Self-starter and problem solver

- Can establish positive relationships with other members of the team

- High level of attention to detail

- Exemplary accountability and responsibility

Competitive Salary & Benefits Package

Depending on experience, total compensation (Salary, bonuses, commissions) package could realistically be between $85-100 K, but is uncapped. There are no specific billable hour requirements.

Firmwide early-Friday office closure.
