Our practice encompasses a diverse range of immigration cases and applications, ensuring meticulous and strategic legal support and effective representation.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Immigration Attorney to join our team. Strong candidates will have advocacy, legal research and writing skills. This role involves representing clients before USCIS, ERO, ICE, EOIR and Federal Courts.

Candidates MUST have a J.D. from an accredited institution; MUST be admitted (licensed) to practice law in the United States; and MUST be fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

In this position, you will be required to interact with coworkers at all levels of our company, as well as with clients and foreign nationals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in removal defense proceedings before immigration courts and agencies, including bond hearings, deportation cases, and appeals.
  • Advocate for clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and other relevant agencies.
  • Handle family-based and business immigration matters, including naturalization, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers, and employment-based petitions.
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents.
  • Analyze client records to identify errors or inconsistencies in previous applications or proceedings.
  • Develop legal strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and legal staff.
  • Be able to explain legal terminology, case progress, and procedural requirements to clients succinctly in a timely manner.
  • Stay informed on legislative and policy changes affecting and provide guidance accordingly.
  • Represent clients in immigration court hearings and removal proceedings as needed.
  • Advocate before immigration judges and government officials to assist clients in obtaining legal status.
  • Research complex legal issues by reviewing applicable statutes and judicial decisions.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while preparing and revising legal documents.
  • Conduct training sessions for individuals and organizations on substantive legal topics, immigration laws and regulatory updates.
  • Partner with colleagues to share information, resolve client issues, and support ongoing legal projects.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and foreign nationals regarding case strategy, procedural requirements, and case processing updates.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school (required).
  • Active bar membership, in good standing, in any U.S. jurisdiction ( REQUIRED ).

Florida Bar membership is a plus.

  • 2+ years of experience in employment-based immigration experience (preferred).
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional English writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work-load, manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently while working with a sense of urgency in a dynamic fast paced environment.
