API Legal Outreach seeks a Post Bar Fellow in Immigrant Rights to assist low-income clients with immigration matters. The role involves coverage of casework under a licensed attorney and active participation in community outreach from the East Bay office.

After passing the California Bar, there is potential to transition to a Staff Attorney role. The organization serves API, Latinx, and immigrant communities and emphasizes multilingual, culturally competent services.

Qualifications

• Commitment to social justice and experience serving underserved immigrant communities.
• Law school graduate awaiting Bar results or has taken California Bar.
• Ability to work independently; detail-oriented in a multicultural team.

Responsabilités

• Provide case management and legal services under attorney supervision in immigrant rights cases (removal defense, asylum, naturalization, U visas, T visas, SIJS, VAWA).
• Staff clinics and workshops at client-accessible locations.
• Engage in community education and outreach activities.
• Provide intake services with potential clients.
• Represent API Legal Outreach in meetings with partners and funders.
• Assist with administrative and fundraising work.
