Job summary

National Immigration Law Center (NILC) invites applications for a two-year Law Fellowship focused on impact litigation and policy advocacy. The Fellow will support litigation, collaborate with NILC’s legal and advocacy teams, and advance rights for low-income immigrants.

The fellowship runs September 2027 through September 2029. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; strong applicants with civil rights interest are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Recent law school graduate (0–2 years) or graduate within two years of fellowship start.
• Bar membership or willingness to sit for the next state bar.
• Knowledge of civil rights, immigrants’ rights, and/or racial justice.

Responsibilities

• Assist with impact litigation, including investigation, fact development, filings, discovery, and appellate work.
• Collaborate with NILC legal team and partners to develop high-impact litigation for low-income immigrant communities.
• Coordinate with policy/communications teams to align litigation with advocacy and narrative change efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.
