Asian Law Caucus seeks a full-time Legal Assistant to support the Immigration Justice Program. This role assists attorneys with intake, documentation, case management, and coordination across USCIS, immigration court, and federal venues.

Strong writing and communication skills, plus a commitment to public interest, are essential. The position operates in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with interdisciplinary teams and grant-funded work.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of relevant legal assistant experience
• Excellent writing, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s or higher, with law-related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake interviews with potential clients and provide referrals
• Prepare and edit legal documents and routine correspondence
• Assist with case management and file organization across USCIS, immigration court, BIA, and federal courts
• Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and intake coordinators to ensure smooth workflow
• Provide administrative support and help with clinic events and community presentations
