Job summary

Newport Aquarium is seeking a part-time Virtual Reality Attraction Operator to engage guests, operate the VR ride, and uphold safety and guest experience standards in Newport, KY. The role requires strong public speaking, English communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning, safety inspections, rider screening, and maintaining PCI compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong public speaking and the ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to think clearly and react quickly to changes or emergencies.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of marine life is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks to keep attractions guest-ready.
• Interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Communicate safety information and perform safety inspections.
• Monitor riders and ensure ride requirements are met.
• Report safety or technical issues to supervision.
• Maintain PCI compliance and follow guest services protocols.
