Job summary

Newport Aquarium LLC in Newport, KY is seeking a part-time House & Grounds teammate to maintain cleanliness, support building maintenance, and enhance guest experience.

You will interact with guests, perform daily cleaning tasks, operate cleaning equipment, and assist after-hours events. Candidates should be 18+, able to work weekends/evenings, and be a team player. The role is on-site at Newport Aquarium as part of Herschend Enterprises.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Willingness to become Bloodborne Pathogens trained.
• Knowledge of aquatic life is a plus.
• Friendly, outgoing and proactive approach.
• Ability to work as a team member and with minimal supervision.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall cleanliness of Newport Aquarium with daily checklists.
• Contribute to building maintenance during operation and after hours.
• Engage guests with animal facts and personal connections.
• Daily garbage, recycling, and compost disposal.
• Deep cleans using specified machines and support after-hours events.
