Job summary

FullShift Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher to work with students with emotional impairments in specialized programs. This role involves planning an annual classroom syllabus, developing IEPs, and coordinating with parents and staff to meet student goals.

Responsibilities include delivering daily lessons, supervising paraprofessional staff, tracking progress, and ensuring compliance with California state requirements.

Qualifications

• Must possess Mild/Moderate, Moderate Severe or LH Credential; internship candidates may apply.
• At least 1 year of demonstrated experience working with emotionally and behaviorally disturbed children/adolescents is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily classroom behavior and supervise 1:1s or Educational Assistants.
• Deliver daily lessons using approved classroom syllabus.
• Develop and administer IEPs for assigned students.
• Collaborate with staff and parents to monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Prepare annual classroom syllabus and assess student performance.
