Job summary

Actalent is seeking Medical Assistants for Long Island locations including Wyandanch, Patchogue, Riverhead, Brentwood and Shirley. This contract role is based out of Shirley, NY and open to entry-level candidates.

You will greet patients, collect medical history, take vital signs, prepare exam rooms, manage inventories and sterilize instruments in a fully onsite environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, and ensure they feel welcomed and respected throughout their visit.
• Perform patient intake, including collecting medical history, recording current symptoms, and updating information in the electronic medical record.
• Accurately obtain and document vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and other clinical measurements.
• Prepare exam rooms for patient visits and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and organized.
• Stock and restock exam rooms with medical supplies, maintaining appropriate inventory levels and cleanliness.
• Clean, maintain, and prepare medical instruments, including proper use of autoclave equipment for sterilization.

Pay Rate

Medical Assistant Diploma: $20.50-$23.50 an hour (Dependent on experience)

Medical Assistant Diploma WITH NHA: $22-$25.50 an hour (Dependent on experience)
