Job summary

Intellis Health LLC in New York seeks a compassionate full-time Medical Assistant at our East Islip location. You will support physicians and deliver patient care with attention to accuracy and warmth.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, collecting histories, drawing blood, performing EKGs, and assisting with minor procedures. Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged; experience with EHR is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college is a bonus.
• At least 1 year in a primary care setting as a Medical Assistant.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.

We're currently looking for a compassionate, full-time Medical Assistant to join us at our East Islip location in Nassau County.

A little about the role:

As our new Medical Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting our physicians and providing top-notch patient care. Your day-to-day might include:

• Taking vital signs and gathering patient history
• Assisting with biopsies and some minor procedures
• Drawing blood, doing EKGs, and collecting specimens
• Communicating clearly with both patients and the medical team

If you're comfortable with E-Clinical Works EMR, medical Spanish, and have some hands-on clinical experience, that's a big plus!

What we're looking for:

• Education: High school diploma is a must; some college is a bonus
• Experience: At least 1 year in a primary care setting as a Medical Assistant
• Certification: Certified Medical Assistant? Even better!

We'd love someone who:

• Speaks Spanish (very important!)
• Is available to work one Saturday a month
• Is a great communicator and a team player
