Job summary

Intellis Health LLC in New York seeks a compassionate full-time Medical Assistant at our East Islip location. You will support physicians and deliver patient care with attention to accuracy and warmth.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, collecting histories, drawing blood, performing EKGs, and assisting with minor procedures. Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged; experience with EHR is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college is a bonus.
• At least 1 year in a primary care setting as a Medical Assistant.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Taking vital signs and gathering patient history.
• Assisting with biopsies and some minor procedures.
• Drawing blood, doing EKGs, and collecting specimens.
• Communicating clearly with both patients and the medical team.
