Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital seeks an experienced Non-Clinical IMG Integration & Experience Coordinator to lead the non-clinical integration program for international graduates and fellows. You will guide recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing transitions, coordinating with Medical Education, HR, Legal, Payroll, IT, and residency leadership.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s in Healthcare Admin, Public Health, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Certification in immigration administration or related field within 12 months of hire.
• 4+ years in healthcare administration, GME, onboarding, or related field; global population support preferred.
• Strong coordination skills across departments and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and continuously improve the IMG Integration and Experience Program from pre-arrival through completion.
• Manage a portfolio of IMG physicians and fellows, tracking milestones and barriers.
• Oversee visa sponsorship processes with Medical Education, including documentation and renewals.
• Stay current on immigration policies and adapt institutional workflows accordingly.
• Identify and resolve administrative barriers affecting IMG physicians and families.
• Coordinate social services and transition resources (housing, healthcare access, education).
