Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse II (RN) for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Silver Spring, MD. The role focuses on compassionate patient care while advancing skills and knowledge in a supportive environment.

The position is full-time with day shift hours. Education requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and Maryland RN licensure, with BLS required and ACLS/PALS/NRP as needed by specialty area.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Maryland State nursing license required; BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly to maximize efficiency.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspectives.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care.
