Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Patient Care Technician for an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Phoenix. You will provide direct patient care, monitor vitals, assist with activities of daily living, and document patient information under supervision.

The role supports a 3-12 hour day shift schedule in a high-acuity, unit bridging ICU and telemetry. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 6 months of healthcare experience, with BLS required and CNA/EMT licenses preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting within the last year is required; 6 months acute care preferred.
• Block 1 of Nursing OR Medical Assistant OR Nursing Assistant OR EMT OR Behavioral Health Technician OR equivalent experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed caregiver, including activities of daily living, vital signs, ambulation, and care plan implementation.
• Observes and reports changes in patient condition to the licensed caregiver and documents care provided.
• Addresses questions from patients, families, or health care team members and supports accurate medical records.
