Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Arizona to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of RN/LPN. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, collecting vital signs, and maintaining a clean, safe care environment.

You will support meals, mobility, hygiene, and documentation, while communicating effectively with the care team and following infection control and PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
• BCLS within 90 days of hire required or preferred
• CNA certification or CPCT certification preferred or required

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Record and report vital signs and patient data to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, mobility, and activities of daily living.
• Support patient positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and monitor blood glucose with finger sticks.
• Communicate patient information to the care team and maintain professionalism.
• Maintain infection control practices including proper PPE usage.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and safety reporting.
• May provide continuous observation as required by patient needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.
