Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Patient Care Technician for IMCU on the night shift. The role provides patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision, including ADLs, data collection, and mobility support.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in acute care or are nursing students; BCLS within 90 days is required, CNA preferred or in progress. Maintain PPE and infection control while contributing to safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in acute care.
• Currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required.
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated patient care and maintain a clean, safe care environment.
• Collect and record vital signs and patient data; report findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with daily living activities: meals, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and mobility.
• Support patient positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Perform blood glucose monitoring and document results.
• Communicate patient information effectively to the care team.
• Maintain infection control practices and PPE usage.
• Participate in performance improvement and safety initiatives.
