Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 3W IMCU. The role supports complex medical and post-surgical patients on a private bed unit with telemetry.

Work is on a full-time night shift, roughly 6pm–6am, in a high-acuity intermediate care setting. You will work with an assigned respiratory therapist on a 24-bed IMCU, with diverse diagnoses including cerebrovascular events, ventilator-dependent patients, and post-traumatic or surgical cases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Certification/Licensure.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum requirements include Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, US Navy Hospital Corps School or Emergency Services credentials (EMR/EMS/EMT/AEMT/Paramedic) or current clinical student participation.
