Job summary

NC State Vet Hospital in Raleigh, NC seeks an IMC Veterinary Assistant to support patient care, post-operative care, drug administration, infectious disease management, and patient coordination in a dynamic 24/7 facility.

The role requires monitoring ill patients, performing IV venipuncture and catheter placement, accurate medication calculations, and strong communication with the team. Nights and weekends may be required; prior specialty hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prefer 1 year of experience in a specialty hospital as a veterinary technician or assistant.
• Ability to monitor ill patients and provide needed care.
• Ability to perform IV venipuncture and catheter placement.
• Ability to calculate and administer medications correctly.
• Great communication skills.
