Job summary

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg 5 IMC unit at UMMC West Bank in Minneapolis, MN. The role focuses on caring for adults with complex conditions requiring close monitoring, with 24 beds in the IMC/Med/Surg mix and a 0.6 FTE schedule on the Evening shift.

You will assess, plan, and implement nursing care, lead a team, and ensure high-quality patient outcomes while collaborating with the care team and families.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing; MN RN license.
• BLS certification valid.
• ACLS required within 1 year of hire.
• IMC/Med/Surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and develop/adjust care plans.
• Lead and coordinate care for a unit with multiple patients.
• Prioritize, delegate, and oversee duties of other staff as a team leader.
• Maintain patient/family confidentiality and document care per policy.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and health care team members.
