Job summary

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med/Surg 6 unit at the UMMC West Bank Campus in Minneapolis, MN. The RN will provide comprehensive care to medical-surgical patients with a focus on close observation, monitoring, and intervention.

The position is 0.8 FTE with 8-hour day shifts and an every-other-weekend rotation. New grads with inpatient clinical experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• BLS certification required.
• RN license issued by MN Board of Nursing required.
• New grads with inpatient clinical experience encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and prioritize care based on condition and policy.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans for assigned patients.
• Lead and coordinate care with other staff as a team leader.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and culturally competent care.
• Collaborate with patients' families and health care team members.
