Job summary

Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh, NC is seeking an IMAX Projectionist to operate and oversee the theater’s projection systems and help with daily venue operations, including AV setup and film/event support.

The role requires an associate degree or technical certification, about a year of related experience, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and a willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays as part of a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical certification in computer science or media production preferred.
• 1 year of experience operating a digital projection system theater or equivalent technical experience with audio/visual production systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for computer, AV, and other technical systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the Marbles IMAX Digital Projection System and complete a shift report.
• Maintain projection booth cleanliness and vacuum booth carpet using central vac system.
• Assist Retail Operations with concessions, ticket scanning, inventory, and guest service.
• Troubleshoot the IMAX system and report findings to supervisor.
• Assist with event setup and teardown (AV & furniture) as directed.
