Job summary

UNC Health Care in North Carolina seeks a Registered Radiologic Technologist to perform X-ray imaging and ensure safe, effective use of radiology equipment. You will interview patients, select imaging protocols, and record results in PACS/EMR while maintaining high-quality care.

The role requires a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Science program, ARRT registration, and at least five years in a clinical imaging setting. Onsite schedule is Day Job, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic science program.
  • Five years of experience in a clinical imaging role.
  • Registration as Radiological Technologist (ARRT).
  • Experience reading and interpreting radiology orders.
  • Experience with PACS.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and performs radiological (X-ray) imaging.
  • Reads and comprehends imaging orders and consults with physicians as needed.
  • Interviews patients to assess safety and risk factors.
  • Uploads imaging results to PACS and records data in EMR.
  • Guides patients through exams with clear explanations and empathy.
  • Precepts and orients entry-level staff; coordinates patient flow with colleagues.
